FAQ

  • What do private lessons entail?

These are 1:1 lessons with a personal instructor tailored to your swimmer’s needs and skill level. These range from beginners and returning swimmers looking to improve to water polo training and adults who are new to the water.

  • How many private lessons will my swimmer receive, per set?

For swimmers under 4yo, we recommend eight, 15-minute lessons, per set. For swimmers ages 4yo+ we recommend four, 30-minute lessons, per set.

  • How many sets may I book at one time?

You are welcome to book as many sets of lessons as you wish. We require all lessons to be paid in full at the time of booking in order to be added to our instructor schedule.

  • Who are your instructors?

Each of our instructors undergoes a thorough hiring process and training period. They are more than qualified to ensure water safety and encourage the development of proper technique for all swimmers.

  • What is your reschedule and refund policy?

You may cancel your scheduled set of lessons up to 72 hours prior to your first scheduled session for a full refund. Within 72 hours, refunds will not be provided.

You are allowed to reschedule ONLY ONE lesson, per set and we must be notified by 9am the day of your scheduled lesson.

Tadpole Group Classes are not eligible for rescheduling.

  • What are your attendance policies?

You will forfeit your lesson if you arrive late and your scheduled time has passed.

No-call, no-shows will be dropped from our schedule immediately without refund.

  • Where are lessons held?

Lessons are held at a private residence on Mariposa Avenue in Stockton, near University of the Pacific.

The poor is outdoors and heated year round, offering convenience for a comfortable environment for all swimmers.

  • How do I know if my swimmer needs private lessons or is ready for a Tadpole Group Class?

Tadpole group classes are designed for swimmers ages three to seven who have experience in the water, but may not be ready to swim unassisted, yet.

Tadpole class enrollment must be approved by Ms. Chrissie’s Fishies as completion of proper swim lessons is required to ensure the appropriate skills necessary to participate.n goes here

  • How many people can accompany my swimmer to lessons?

We ask that no more than 1-2 adults observe lessons. Siblings are also welcome to attend and quietly observe as long as they do not enter the water or distract the other swimmers.

  • My swimmer is still in diapers. Can I still sign them up?

Definitely! Swim diapers are available on Amazon and at Target and Walmart. If your swimmer isn’t toilet trained, please make sure a swim diapers is worn under his or her swimsuit.

  • What do I need to bring to lessons?

Goggles are not required, but if your swimmer chooses to wear them we are happy to provide recommendations that are age and skill-level appropriate:

For swimmers 5yo+, we recommend Speedo Vanquishers, which can also be found on Amazon.

For swimmers unedr 4yo, Speedo Unisex-Child Swim Goggles tend to work well, but there are many options on Amazon that work just fine for this age group.

  • May I get in the pool with my swimmer during/before/after lessons?

Unless your instructor specifically requests parent participation, we ask that you remain on the pool deck during all lessons and classes, so as not to provide a distraction.

  • May I take pictures and record videos of my swimmer?

Absolutely! We do ask that you only record/photograph your own swimmer to respect the privacy of others in the water. Please make sure to tag us and share on Instagram and Facebook!

  • Anything else I need to know before our first lesson or class?

Please refrain from feeding your swimmer for 30 minutes prior to their lesson. Most, importantly, this includes dairy and formula.
